buzzy as a crafty bee
Yesterday I simply could not post anything because I was really busy.
I was so busy in fact, that I could not do my usual "Wednesday Wash Day" laundry, I could not be bothered with making a decent meal, the kids were virtually on their own, I could not be bothered with my orthodontist appointment (In my defense, they usually call and remind me, and they didn't call this time so I forgot! Hello? I need the reminder call, obviously!) and only by some miracle I remembered it was my week for car-pool, so Hootis and her buddies got picked up. Houdini spent of lot of time walking around like a little stinky green bomb, because I kept saying to myself, "just one more thing, then I'll change him". I was so busy, we didn't eat dinner until after 7pm and it was a pretty lame meal.
Here is what I was doing:
Crafting, hello? important stuff, people!
Obviously that is more important that our quality of life. I only craft occasionally, but unfortunately I don't have a lot of self control and can't stop crafting until the project is completely done. I've been wanting to make a magnet board for a while and several days ago I realized we needed a new FHE chart since Houdini needs to be added to our line up. After some ingenious brainstorming and a creative catharsis I came up with this nifty combo deal.
I even made the wooden frame from some molding I bought at Home Depot. Yes, it's true, I know how to use a power "Miter Saw" or whatever it's called. Sometimes I even amaze myself. I still need to paint the extra star magnets, but the project is 99.9% done and I can return to the land of the living today.
FYI- The yellow star magnets have our initials on them so we can identify who does what job, but I smudged them out (with Adobe) so that the pervert that I am sure is stalking our every move through my blog will not know who has our FHE "treat" next week! Yes, I am psychotic and paranoid.

Creative, you are! (Use your best Yoda voice!)
Did you use vinyl letters? It is awesome! Now that you have alerted me to your blog I can't help but check it every day! :) "Wunnie" likes to see how Hooti (?) has grown up! She still remembers playing with her!
Have a good day!
