we interrupt our previously scheduled vacation report....
Due to all this vacation business, we've been a little lame in the "Christmas Decoration Department" this year. I decided to make a small effort yesterday, even though Christmas is only 10 days away. We have a Christmas tree already growing in our front yard. Yes, it's a really big Christmas tree and yes, I have a fear of heights, but why not put lights on it? All it will take is a really big ladder and some skill.
Here's an oddly blue-ish tinted picture of the tree:
Imagine me on top of that ladder, swaying back and forth, sweating bullets while I precariously string up the lights.Hmm, weird. There appears to be a BROOM in that tree.
Yep, definitely a broom.
Is that weird? Don't you put a broom in your Christmas decorating?

Ok, fine I admit it! I was standing on the ladder using the broom to reach the high limbs. When the limbs got SO high even the broom wouldn't reach, I strategically placed the string of lights between the broom corn husk thingies, and ever so gently THREW the broom, hoping to magically place the string of lights where I wanted it to be!

Note to self: this method doesn't work. Not the first time, not the second time, not the fifth time. And by the fifth time you will be wondering how soon it will be before the neighbors, who are obviously laughing their heads off while videoing you, secretly through their windows, post a video on YouTube of a strange tall girl on top of a ladder, throwing a broom at a tree.
*
If you do happen to use this method next year, you will need another broom,
to knock the stuck broom out of the tree.

Just so you know.
