all hallows eve eve

We carved our pumpkins last night. A fun messy activity. Once we had them done, lit and outside, the kids all went berserko and ran around and around around the yard in the dark, screaming like banshees. Yea for Halloween!

In honor of this spooky holiday here are 15 things that scare me now or have ever scared me:

1. I'm scared of heights. Third rung on the ladder is my limit.

2. Lima Beans. Enough said.

3. When I was little, I just KNEW there was a monster under my bed waiting to grab my feet when I stepped down. I remember agonizing because I knew Saturday morning cartoons were on, and I couldn't get out of bed.

4. I used to love Nancy Drew books, they were always so mysterious and spooky, and sometimes scared me just a little.

5. If I saw Bill Clinton coming towards me with open arms,

I would seriously be scared.

6. Pretty much any long distance bus ride in Ecuador.

7. The rate that the greys are taking over my head is almost more

scary than I can handle.

8. Labor/Delivery of my little darlings. I honestly start getting scared at about 15 weeks along. And NO this is NOT an announcement.

9. I got scared regularly as a child when looking at our dinner selection. Anything green on the table caused serious mental anguish.

Note: Lima beans above.

10. Getting old and being alone. I think Mr. Kreuger's Christmas

is about as scary as they come.

11. Being on a boat with my whole family and the boat starts to sink and having to save all the kids at once. OK, this has never happened, but I sometimes worry about it, so don't be inviting us on any boat rides.

12. Dieing in some hideous way, like fire.

13. Having a child kidnapped.

14. I never thought I was a screamer. Like if I saw something scary, I wouldn't spontaneously scream. I now know that I AM a screamer. Once in Ecuador we were walking along a sidewalk and there were these two big white fluffy dogs that appeared to be sleeping. Right when we waked past them, one started barking maniacally and I TOTALLY screamed! So there it is: crazy dogs barking scare me. Although most dogs scare me, barking or not.

15. Flan. Scary as it gets.
