sick
I spend a lot of time hanging out with this three year old.
We eat lunch together every single day.
She loves to talk.
(Except when she doesn't.)
I eat lunch, she talks.
(Except when she doesn't.)
Our lunch conversation yesterday:
"Mama. I'm sick of talking!"
"OK. Don't talk!"
Then she "shushes" me, 'cause we aren't talking.
I do an imaginary "zip shut" of my mouth.
Wait 8 seconds....
"I'm not sick of talking anymore!"
"OK!"
""Mama, don't talk, I'm sick of talking! But I'm not sick of laughing!"
(insert big ol' fake belly laugh)
"OK."
Repeat this conversation about 9 times and you will have experienced my lunch
with a three year old.

I wouldn't trade it for the world.
