kind of like 'The Biggest Looser'.....but the opposite.

Don't be fooled by the plump cheek above.  This girl is on diet   A "weight gain" diet.  You see, when I took her in for her "18 month well check"  she weighed in at a heafty 18.5 lbs. and that puts her at exactly .35 on the "kid percentile chart."  Not 35%, not 3.5% but POINT 35 %.  As in-- way too little.  If I wasn't sure she was my very own child, I would wonder.......I mean, have you seen me?  Mrs. Amazon woman?

But the Doc has a plan.  It involves eating every 2 hours all day long.  It's kind of like nursing a newborn, but........not fun.  There's no snuggling, there's no - me sitting on the couch doing nothing but nursing, there's no - me with a way better chest than normal (sorry!).

There is only Reb sitting in her highchair eating or not eating, as is often the case, every 2 hours.  On a regular day like Tuesday for example, this can be done sort of easily if I stay home and stay focused on the goal.  But what about Saturday when we have hours of kid sports, or Sunday when we have hours of church or perhaps a day when I would actually like to leave the house???  Welp, the plan doesn't work that well. I'll keep plugging along though, she needs to gain the weight, or what?  Well, I don't really know what the next step is.  I guess we're assuming she'll gain the weight and that I will never go anywhere again until she does.

Wish me luck.  Wish her weight.

Yes, I was going to comment on her cute little chubby cheeks the other day.... even though the rest of her is mini.

And ya, I get to sit on the couch and nurse all day long......but it's not that fun at the moment, DANG thrush!!!
