marbles

There have been a few times in my life when I was a good Visiting Teacher (when I was RS President, it was kind of a must-do sort of thing), but for the most part, despite really good intentions, I am kind of a lame-o.  Like this week for instance.  I  had made an appointment (see? Good intentions!  It's not even the end of the month.) for Monday at 11:15.  I told my partner about it, and then on Sunday confirmed it with her and with the lady we visit.  Then on Monday morning at 10am-ish I went to Walmart.  At 11:25 when my cell phone rang. I fumbled, getting it out of my pocket and accidentally turned it off.  Hmmm, I thought, I wonder who that was? Annnnd, continue shopping. When it rang again, I managed to answer it.  It was my partner wondering if we were still going Visiting Teaching........ Der.  I am wandering the aisles of Walmart looking at Yo Yo's.  Double Der.

I've been doing this kind of thing a lot lately.  I think it's called old age.  I keep mumbling to myself (probably another sign of old age) that I'm losing my marbles.  So now, Reb regularly asks me, "You found your marbles mom?"  I wish.

In completely unrelated news:

Rooney was awarded Principal's Pride last week for "Honesty!"
Yay Rooney!

(umm, yes, it was St. Patrick's Day.)
