soccer: big boys edition

Aaron and Thomas have been on the same soccer team this fall.

It's usually pretty hard for me to get pictures where they are both in the shot.

Aaron often plays forward on the rec team and Thomas always plays defense, so they're not usually close to each other on the field. Saturday though, they both played defense and I got a lot of fun pictures of them working together.

After the rec game, Thomas left with Stick and the other kids to go help with our ward Day of Service. Bekah and I went with Aaron to his comp game.

Just like that, a different colored jersey!

Aaron's comp team has been a great experience. He has an awesome coach, he's learned a lot, and I think he's gained some confidence playing with such good teammates.

They're really fun to watch. No one on that field is out there as a spectator. They are extremely aggressive and play as if their lives depended on every single move.

Also, I just want to put a shout out to Mother Nature, that I haven't had to sit and freeze to death during a single soccer game this fall.

Ok, there was one, but it was totally my fault, because I was under-dressed for a night game.

The weather has been fantastic, Saturday was no exception. In fact it was almost too hot.

Thanks Mother Nature, you're the best.

Um Thomas looks like a grown man. What??

Also, I have just one complaint against Ms. Mother Nature. That one game where I was completely soaked to the bone, despite my umbrella. Ya, soggy bums was not my idea of fun. Otherwise? Wonderful.
