The calendar: an obituary

For years I have used a printed out plain paper calendar.

It's plainness suits me, 'cause I can stick it on the fridge and write whatever I want on it. At the end of each year, I print out a new year and file away* the old year.

Stick however, being the ever efficient engineer that he is, has been telling me for years that an electronic calendar would be easier and more efficient.

I didn't believe him.

I am a paper and pencil type of girl, through and through.

If it please the court, I present the following evidence:

(Last May was crazy busy.)

(What does "the court" have to do with this?)

(I have no idea, it just sounded official-like.)

Now let's look at last month.

It happened.

I have finally converted to an electronic (iToy) calendar.

See evidence below:

I don't know exactly how it happened.

I think it has to do with the fact that almost all of my communication from the school, YM leaders, YW leaders, Scout leaders, and sports coaches, comes in an e-mail. All I have to do when reading the e-mail is click on the dates and times they are discussing and it goes automatically on my calendar.

What?

No paper?

No freshly sharpened #2?

So sad.

So sterile.

So computery.

I begrudgingly admit............it's awesome.

Farewell printed paper calendar.

You served me well over the years.

*Quit laughing Stick! I know how to file things..........
