Book Review
"Twenty years ago, while walking through a men's clothing store in Sag Harbor, New York, Sue Bender found herself drawn to an array of old Amish quilts that served as a background to a display of tweeds. She was immediately struck by their deep, saturated colors, the geometric simplicity of their design, and their quiet power."
Eventually this encounter leads to two separate visits to live with Amish families, learn about their lives and the attempt to understand and change her own life for the better. I personally loved the glimpse into the lives of the Amish. Although Bender gets a little too philosophical at times for my taste, I too had moments of introspection while reading about their lives. A definite must read.

A author I love is Beverly Lewis. She writes her novel around the amish and I love them. It also looks into their lives and you just can't put it down. Eventually you start talking like them. Look her up at the library. most of her books are series.
