GNO

Dear Mom (in Russia)-

Hi.  How are you?  I like you.  Do you like me?

Hootis and I went on an outing last night.  First we ate some yummy food.

(Try not to lick your screen. I don't suppose they have Cafe Rio in Moscow.)

We took public transportation to the big city.  Public transportation was quite an eye opener for Hootis.  Lots of interesting characters that we don't usually see in our neck of the woods take public transportation.

Upon arrival in the big city, we walked one block to the theater.

The show was A-mazing.

We were both wowed.

Although it was SO cold in the theater we about died.  Ironically the show was centered in Africa (as in HOT Africa).  We had to go outside at intermission (with all the smokers) just to try and get warm.

(I decided second hand smoke was worth being warm.)

After the show when we left the theater, we saw the train go flying by.

Not wanting to wait twenty minutes for the next train, we ran (in heels) to try and catch it.

We missed it by three feet.

Boo. (and huff and puff)

So we sat at the station and watched the exciting big city night life.  Complete with various characters of questionable......uh, morals, uh, beverages, uh clothing, uh, you name it, it was questionable.

We helped an elderly couple buy their train tickets because the ticket machine would only function in Spanish.  Yo hablo espanol.

Then, along with the elderly couple, we got on the wrong train.

As soon as we sat down, I knew we were on the wrong train.

We got off at the next stop, got on another train to go back, then finally got on the right train.

We were then best friends with the elderly couple.

We made it home very late.

But it was awesome.

Love,

Your eldest with her eldest.

*Yes, Green hair ala too much swimming this summer.
