FDOS 2013

I'm pretty sure yesterday was the last day of school.

Then I blinked, and today is the first day of school.

Why why, summer, did you have to be so short?

I am not ready for school.

At all.

I'm not ready for reading records, planners that need to be signed, baggie books, science fair, endless papers to read and sign, book reports, etc.

But I guess we will survive, like we always do.

The middle schoolers!

(Aaron, 8th grade and Thomas, 7th grade.)

Their brand new school is an easy 10 minute walk from our house.

The high schooler.

(Junior, if you can believe it.)

Her brand new school is 1.3 miles away and walkable, especially if you have a whole group of friends to walk with.

(Breakfast in her hand.)

Off to meet the rest of the group.

The elementary kids leave next, an hour later than the big kids.

Harrison, 3rd, Spencer 5th.

(This will be Spencer's last year at our elementary school, because 6th graders go to middle school now. I'll worry about that next year.)

Apparently we are into green this year.

And my baby girl?

She starts kindergarten next week.

We will go over to the school today and meet her teacher, but for now she trying to recover from our weekend.

Poor exhausted girl, she's been sound asleep on the couch all morning oblivious to the chaos and noise.
