summer ponderings

We're trying hard this summer to be productive.  We are still getting up early (GAG) and spending the cool early morning hours exercising and working in the garden and the yard.  Once the work is done though, there's still plenty of time to relax.  (See above- via my zoom lens.)

There's nothing better than a reading a good book in the shade of a tree.

( Except maybe chocolate ice cream.)

We have NICE next door neighbors.

They have a pool.

They call up and say, "Come over and swim!"

We do.

It's the best.

(Except, at times scary because Reb and Houdini think they can swim unassisted.)

They can't.

I went to the dentist 2 days ago.

He says he was replacing cracked fillings, but I'm pretty sure he was getting some aggressions out.

On my face.

I had so much Novocaine I couldn't close my EYE for hours.

And it all still hurts.

Can't wait to go back next Tuesday....

The kids are plugging along with Piano Lessons.

They're progressing nicely and practice without complaint or hassle.

(A miracle.)

Although, If I have to listen to Nadia's Theme too many more times, I may have to do something drastic.

Like fill my ears with cement.

Hootis has a Personal Progress goal she's trying to complete.
She's making breakfast for all of us for two weeks.
I smell fresh baked blueberry muffins as I type.
Awesome.
I'm so inspired by this muffin goal, that I decided that ALL the kids are going to take weekly turns cooking breakfasts this summer.
Breakfast cooking skills are essential to survival whether you're a boy or a girl!
(Plus, I get tired of cooking.)

The end.
