congratulations party

We planned a little party to celebrate the high school graduate and the two Eagle Scouts.

The kids were only slightly alarmed that both sides of our families would be there.

So yes, lots of cousins from both sides, lots of aunts and uncles, and the two eagle scouts. Guess who wasn't there?

The high school graduate.

We had some kind of miscommunication, she claims she didn't know about the party, and was then scheduled to work that day.

She was unable to get out of work since every other employee had asked for the day off.

So we just had to carry on without her!

Now as a general rule, I don't like to post tons of pictures where no one is looking.

But at the same time I don't want to be that obnoxious person saying, "WHOO HOOO! LOOKY HERE!! SMILE FOR THE CAMERA!!!" while people are trying to eat their BBQ in peace.

So instead of calling these shots, "pictures where no one is looking" we shall call them "candid party shots."

Esta bien?!

Truth be told, we almost cancelled our party more than once due to the predicted bad weather for that afternoon.

Thankfully we got through about 90% of the party before it hit. And when it hit, it HIT. What started out as a few raindrops quickly turned into monsoon rain and hail.

Shortly after the rain hit, the party girl showed up.

happy to see these pics! Looks way more fun then what I did. (Sat in the darkness on my bed, trying not to die.) So sad I missed it. That storm! Wowzer.
