target fail (gasp!)

source

I went to Target this morning for the first time in months today.

I am usually a regular Target shopper and will stand by my stance that it is far superior to WalMart. (I just had to write that to razz Stick because he doesn't believe my stance....) The only thing WalMart does better is that it's technically a little closer to my house than Target, which isn't much in the superiority department.

That being said, somehow during the window last year that Target was breached and everyone's identity was stolen, I had not been there. Thank you being sick for weeks, Oceanside, Puerto Rico and then Christmas! I'm pretty sure the last time I was there was Halloween.

On Sunday, their ad spoke to me. There hasn't been anything cute in their ad in ages! They had a cute sweater and shirt that I wanted to go check out and a mop* that we needed, on sale. Plus they had cute flats for cheap. So I decided my Target fast was over.

When I got there this morning, it was all remodeled and I couldn't find ANYTHING. I walked all over the store just trying to find the mop. Then the cute shirt was gone and the sweater was a weird orangey shade of red. And the flats were all weird colors too.

I found one shirt on clearance for Rebekah who is desperate for some clothes, but nothing else. Not on clearance or even in the regular clothes. And then I remembered that this has been the case for quite a while now. All the little girl clothes are either super weird looking or skanky. It makes me wonder who picks out these clothes? They used to have cute stuff but it's been a pretty long while.

Target, you've failed me.

So I left with the mop, a kitchen scrubber and one small t-shirt. That's it! Which is good for the budget I guess, but none of those things are cute for me to wear. Waaah.

*We had a mop that I really loved, until one of the children decided to drag it up the stairs from the basement, banging it into each step, thump, thump, thump. Mops are meant to be carried upstairs not thumped. (If it happens again, said child will be purchasing the next mop with their own money. Yes, I am scary.)
