Les Fiddler of the Opera
Every year in the fall, I feel the need for warm socks, pumpkin goodies and musicals!
I can't really explain the musicals.
We started out listening to "Fiddler on the Roof"
I knew I had successfully indoctrinated my kids when, while during a family walk around the block, I saw the boys dancing like Tevya and singing, "Tradition! Tradition!"
We then moved on to "Les Miserables."
I was driving with Rachel and Bekah and forced invited them to listen to Les Mis with me, while I explained the plot line.
They were bored, confused enraptured!
I'm super excited for the new Movie to come out next month.
Then with all the Halloween festivities, it seemed like a good time to start "Phantom of the Opera."
The boys quickly became obsessed with track six.
Spencer said, "I love this! It sounds like rap-opera!"
They play it over and over and over and over.
And over.
Yesterday while eating breakfast, we listened to it while I explained the story to all the boys.
(Rachel and Stick were out practicing driving.)
We had a lengthy discussion about whether the Phantom is good or bad.
Various opinions were offered, different theories explained.
Grown up kids are SO fun.
