product review

"This stunning television experience captures rare action, impossible locations and intimate moments with our planet's best-loved, wildest and most elusive creatures. From the highest mountains to the deepest rivers, Planet Earth takes you to places you've never been to experience sights and sounds never before captured on film. Prepare to be overwhelmed by the beauty and majesty of Planet Earth."

We are borrowing this series of DVD's produced by the BBC. The kids were quite skeptical that it was going to be fun, but I keep hearing about it and wanted to try it. We are almost done with the first DVD and they have definitely changed their tune. We have all loved it and been totally amazed by the things shown.

Brick was pouting Saturday night since he didn't get to go to the Jazz game with Daddy and the big kids. I told him he could pick a show to watch with Houdini and I. Guess what he picked right off the bat? Planet Earth. Proof that it's fun to watch, if a 4 year old picks it of his free will. The other kids were doing a big coloring project yesterday and a common theme running through the artwork was "Piranhas" which we had just watched. I kept hearing the words "they can strip a fish in 2 minutes!"

So if you're looking for something to watch that's entertaining and (gasp!) educational, I highly recommend this series.
