2014.5.11 weekly
Happy Mother’s Day to everyone! I've had a nice day with my family. They even submitted to taking our yearly spring pictures today, ‘cause how can they say no to my simple request when it’s my special day?!?!?! (Note to self: Do this every year!)
Rachel finished track this week and is now back to her job at the elementary school. She’s not even one little bit happy about it. I told her to use her disdain for her job as motivation to get a new better job! She took the AP Calculus test and felt pretty hopeless about it, along with everyone in her entire class. Her teacher is one of those people who is really, really smart at math, but not good at teaching it to others. A few months ago we bought the “Calculus for Dummies” book which she used heavily. One day her teacher saw her with the book and laughed and laughed that she had it. Which frankly, is disturbing, ‘cause if the teacher had any sense at all, she would realize that it was an insult that her own student needed additional help because she is such a terrible teacher!
Aaron is happy that Rachel is back at her job, ‘cause now he can get a ride to work!
Thomas is spending his spare time working on a colored pencil fish drawing for an art competition at school. If all he had to do at school was go to Art class, PE and library- he would totally love it! All those educational classes are really cramping his style.
Spencer and Harry competed in the preliminary written round of the Spelling Bee on Friday. They’re both sure they won it all. Awesome!
I came to a conclusion about Rebekah this week. I’m pretty sure she thinks we are literally living in a Disney Musical. That’s the only logical explanation for her constant singing and dancing and dramatic ways…. Not to mention her lovely flowing locks. All she needs now is a talking crab or a frying pan or a magical sister who wears gloves and it will all be for realz.
Over and out.
