blank walls

This is my latest project in our house.

In typical fashion, I started it last October and I finished it yesterday afternoon.

We have several large walls that have nothing on them, and after two and a half years of living here I am still working on filling them.

I saw the idea for the "There's no place like home" picture in a magazine.

(It's cut out with stencils, with a patterned paper behind it.)

The small surrounding pictures came out of my head, (and my hand with a paintbrush in it).

They represent all the different places we've lived as a family and our two missions.

I wanted something colorful to balance out the gigantic black screened tv on the same wall.

As I look at the picture above, I see that I've placed all the primary colors on the right and secondary colors on the left.  I will probably switch this up.

I may still add a little shelf at the bottom, give me six more months to think about it.....
