J-E-L-L-O

I guess I should probably change my blog name to "The designmom.com Copycat". I always see such cute ideas on her site, then I go and copy them and claim them as my own. Isn't that what America is all about? Truthfully it wasn't "designmom's" idea, she links to someone elses' idea, so apparently she condones copycats. I feel better now.

This is the latest idea that I've copycatted (is that a word?). Jello. Growing up we had Jello often for dinner, usually with some kind of fruit added. Thankfully I can never remember having it with shredded carrots. Although, we did occasionally have it with apple tidbits, which I thought texturally didn't match (sorry mom!).

In all these years of marriage, for some reason I have never made Jello. It honestly just never occurs to me. My kids had it once at my sisters and asked her, "What IS this?" Poor little Jello deprived kids.

So in full copycatting (is that a word?) mode, yesterday I went and bought the red, blue and yellow Jello and made this fun dessert.

Here is the link, if you want to copycat too, it's fun and really easy. I guess while I am at it, I will admit, I copycatted (is that a word?) their picture too! Why take my own, when they have a good one?

I agree, there's no use trying to re-invent the wheel!
It looks very pretty!
