dah ee
We have a lot of toys in this house. (Too many toys in my opinion.) The majority of our toys are things like odd looking plastic aliens, anything Star Wars themed, plastic guns, swords, blasters etc. Since our first baby girl Hootis, outgrew all her girl toys years ago, most of them have disappeared. Poor little Miss Reb has learned to make do with the available loot. She doesn't know her world is sadly lacking in Polly Pockets, Strawberry Shortcake and Barbie. We have noticed though that she seems particularly attached to this little stuffed doggie. It's practically an artifact, since it was mine when I was little. It's also one of the few words she can (sort of) say. Occasionally she will mumble "dah ee" which is clearly Reb language for "doggie". Yes, we are still waiting for any sign of "mom", "mama" or "mutha dearest", so for now I will take comfort that she really loves my vintage doggie.
