play group pandemonium

We had play group today. And, all the kids are home from school (some kind of made up school district holiday that they tacked on to MLK day, I guess). That makes for a whole lotta kids. I was a little worried (ok, scared) about how it would all go, especially since my usual plan of forcing the kids to play in the backyard, doesn't work that well in winter.

In the end, we all survived. My kids were all a little amazed at what kind of chaos five 4 year old boys bring. At one point Proto said to me, "Mom. How often do you do this? I feel sorry for you."

The best quote of the day came when raspy voiced little J came over to tattle, "B has a sword IN his pants!" Then he turned to B and said loudly, "B that is DISGUSTING!"

Good times.
