camp K- ropes course-(yes, there's more, we have a lot of people in our family!)

Happy Feet Hootis

In the picture above, she may or may not look that high up.....

Now look at this picture below....

(gulp)

The girl knows no fear on the ropes course!

Hootis obviously got her skills from Dad.

aka

Superman Stick

"Captain" told him most people can't do this part "properly." That was all the motivation he needed to prove that he could do it (properly, that is).

One hand !?!?

(What a showoff.)

And now there's me......

Mrs. Chicken Pants, herself.

I have a "heights" thing.

For example, the top of a ladder is pushing my limits.

Last year I got half way up the climbing wall, and then returned to my beloved, the ground.

This year I was determined to do a little better.

It scared me to pieces.  PIECES I TELL YOU!

But I did it.

(That is not a smile.  It's a "I'm pretty sure I'm about to die" grimace.)

Here I am at the top of the post, thinking, "Well I'm just going to have to live here now, because I am stuck.  Can someone please throw me some food??"

Lo and behold, I decided I did not want to live on that perch forever so I walked* (AGGH!) across the really scary rope bridge.  (Remember that Houdini my five year old did this???)  Yay, me!

Now I'm on the even more scary wire thingy.

Stick is telling me, "Good Job (you big ol' chicken) you did it!"

This is me clinging on to the zip line as if MY LIFE depended on it....

(I value my life.)

Ahh, the blessed ground.

Everyone wanted to know "how was it?!?!"  (Knowing full well the extent of my chicken-ness)

My official reply:

Super Scary.  But, I'm glad I did it.

* My favorite part of this activity?

When I was up (way, way UP HIGH) on the Rope's Course (sweating buckets) and dieing from fear, Brick kept yelling up to me, "Mom?!?!?  Can you get me lunch? I'm HUNGRY!  Can you get me a sandwich?"
