Legos
I definitely earned BIG points in the mom department on Saturday.
My boys are all members of the "Lego Club" which means a magazine/catalog comes in the mail about once a month. About a week ago, they received post cards from the Lego Club inviting them to a Lego promotion at Wal-Mart.
Here's what the postcard says:
Your local Wal-Mart store is hosting a LEGO Make & Take event and you are invited! Help kick-off the holiday season by creating your own small model that you get to keep. After you've finished building, check out the LEGO section to see what's new at Wal-Mart.
Here's what those words really mean:
Come to Wal-Mart. Stand in line with your 3 boys and 100's of other LEGO fans. Stand in line for a long time, an hour in fact. Ask boys multiple times if they really want to do this. Ponder mentally what the cost of three small Lego kits would be verses my time in line. Tell the 4 year old to quit complaining about his sore feet. Finally get to the table so the boys can get one hand full each of Legos to build with. Tell the Lego lady we'll take bags, so we can take the Legos home to build. Feel sorry for the 150 people behind us in line that are still waiting for their free handful of Legos. Go home, so the boys can joyfully build with their handful of free Legos. Yea me. Way to go mom. You rock.
