birthday bonanza
We have two birthdays in August.
First, this handsome guy who turned 11.
He chose Trix-treats (Like Rice Crispie treats, but with Trix.) for his birthday non-cake treat.
He really loves this treat.
I think they're too sugary, which if you know me, is saying something.
Somehow, I didn't manage to get any other birthday pictures, but he happily told me it was the first time ever he actually got things that he had put on his birthday list. In case you are wondering, think Legos and weapons, the usual. The only down side was that his birthday was the first day of school. We celebrated bright and early and then he was off. A few days later he and I had a birthday breakfast (instead of the usual birthday lunch) at Kneaders.
------------------------
A week later, this girl turned 6!
I spent several days before her birthday sewing these frozen dolls.
She doesn't really even like dolls that much, but somehow I got the idea in my head that I would make these, and I couldn't stop myself.
She got the movie too.
Despite the frozen themed gifts, she chose a mermaid cake.
(Ug, she is the one who always chooses cake! And then she will hardly eat it.)
Happy birthday my babies.
(Now quit growing up!)
