Rebekah told me today that her friend Issac asked her to marry him, but she couldn’t because they are cousins. (We are very distantly related to his family, but he's adopted so, ha!)
Harry has been under the weather this weekend. His throat is so sore that he could hardly talk yesterday. Today he seems to be a little better.
Spencer says, “I scored two soccer goals yesterday even though I was playing defense”.
Thomas is try try trying to get his eagle paper work done. Does this feel like deja vu to you too, or just me?
Aaron says he did not accomplish anything this week.
Rachel had prom last night but I’ve already blogged about it. Although one part I forgot to write about is that the kids were super excited for her date to show up. Thomas and Harry were hiding in the yard/neighborhood with walkie-talkies watching for his car, so they could alert Spencer/Bekah here at the house. Their “signals” involved animal noises like owl hoots. Every time a car drove through the neighborhood they would excitedly send signals only to have it be a false alarm. Rachel’s date was really late (it wasn’t his fault), so we spent a long time listening to false alarms. When he finally did show up, we’d had so many false alarms, I don’t think Rachel believed that he was really there.
Stick celebrated his 45th yesterday. Woah, somehow that makes me feel old. The people at his office threw him a nice surprise party lunch on Friday complete with food, balloons and an orange plastic construction vest with funny sayings on it, which the boys thought was super hilarious. When he came home carrying the balloons, Bekah had a fit because, “he got birthday balloons and the kids NEVER get birthday balloons!”
Stick and I went to Thanksgiving Point Friday night to see the Tulip Festival. The sky was dark and threatening rain the whole time. Consequently, there were hardly any people there with us, which was nice. I wish the Thankgiving Point gardeners would come work on my yard. I’d let you come look at it and not even charge admission!
Also, above your head selfies show lots of grey hair that you are pretending is not there.
Bummer.
