stuff
We have a wedding tomorrow.
Lots of pictures will be taken.
Let's just hope the photographer has excellent Photoshop skills since two of my children look like this:
At least the baby (baby?) doesn't look abused.
Modeling her new dress that I was frantically sewing yesterday, along with skirts for Hootis and myself.
Stick says, "That material looks like it came right out of the curtains in the Sound of Music."
Rude.
But possibly true.
Here's the infamous curtain dress, what do you think?
I've been sewing lately with no pattern.
I don't really know why, except that it adds a little excitement factor of "hmmm, I wonder if this is actually going to turn out or not?"
Lucky for me, I sewed all three things with no problems.
I should have made the wedding dress for the bride, who needs a pattern!?
Snort.

Oh. My. Word!
Oh, super cute! And we love "The Sound of Music!" Also, how Allie-ish of you!

You are brave to sew pattern-less. That's the difference between us I guess--you: creative and visual; me: right brained and would rather let someone else do all the calculations needed to make a pattern!
I saw a blog the other day where the girl showed how to make an elastic waist skirt w/o a pattern. I cringed through the whole post because she didn't finish any edges on any part of the skirt. I hate to think what that thing looked like when she washed it the first time! You, of course, own a serger so I know your dresses look nice and neat inside! Way to go!
