SEP's aka Show Off Time
****Warning****Obnoxious, braggy, show-offy post ahead****
Last night we had SEP's, aka "Parent Teacher Conference". It's always fun to go and hear from the teachers on the kid's progress so far.
Proto sat silently smiling while his teacher went on and on about what a great student and a good boy he is. She said, "I wish we could clone him!". He just smiled in his pleased little Proto way. I think he said one word the whole time.
Rooney's teacher could not say enough ways how motivated, capable, smart, adorable etc. he is. He became increasingly hyper as the visit went on, inserting assorted random comments. I was amused to hear the teacher ask about his "sore finger" that she had apparently helped him "ice" earlier that day. He knows where to get proper sympathy. I didn't hear one thing about his finger at home. (He jammed it at football)
Brick was hyper before his meeting even started. We were admiring the class work hanging outside in the hallways. One of the posters showed that "Green" was Brick's favorite color. When we went in to talk with his teacher, he sat down, looked her in the eye and said, "By the way, Blue is my favorite color, NOT green." Then at the end of his assessment, he said to her "Uh, I thought you were gonna say if I was bad or good!" She had mentioned that he was good, but apparently he didn't hear her.
It's so funny that these 3 boys are obviously related, have the same parents, and the same home environment, yet they are so different in so many ways!
