grass
Check out my amazing home grown Easter Grass! Yep, it's true, I grew it all myself. I saw this idea on one of my favorite blogs, http://www.designmom.com/. I started this grass one week ago, yes, 7 measly days. Isn't that fun? We all can't stop looking at it. In fact, one of us keeps eating it. Yes, it's true, Stick has some sort of rabbit complex.
All you need to grow your own Easter grass is, wheat kernels, water, a container, and paper towels. Place the paper towels in the bottom of the dish and soak with water. Place wheat on top and set in sunny window. Spray with water each day so the wheat stays wet. That's it! Isn't that easy? This is what my grass looked like 7 days ago. Within 2 days it started sprouting and about 4 days later, the grass came out of the sprouts.
This is a close up of the wheat on the wet paper towel.
I'm making a new batch for the rabbit's eating pleasure.
In about a week I will add some colored Easter eggs to my grass and won't I be sooo Martha?

Ah, yes, I HAVE been wondering about that. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical. But, look how fun you are now.
Someday if I ever have a neat bowl and wheat, maybe I'll try that.
