girl fest
We had company over the weekend.
We exchanged two girl cousins for our two oldest boys.
We discovered that girls are quiet compared to our two boys, unless it's midnight.
Then they're giggling uncontrollably and we banish them to the basement.
How do teenage girls keep them selves busy over a weekend?
Hair-dos, movie watching, shopping, iPod-ing, guitaring, eating at Cafe Rio (twice), observing the boys at church, fingernail polishing, blind makeovers*, real makeovers, multiple bowls of ice cream and other assorted make-up play.
Lest you think all they did was play, I did make them ask them to disassemble our new Christmas tree.
Good little workers.
(I paid them with Cafe Rio lunch.)
Makeup experimentation gone bad, good, wild?
The cousins left for home while Rebekah was taking her nap.
When she woke up and found out they were gone, she burst into tears.
This is the reenactment of her misery.
(sad face)
Come again girls!
*while wearing a blindfold, applying makeup on each other. Sounds fun, no?

When the boys got home, they reported a fun weekend that included games like, "tie each other to a chair and see how long takes to get yourself untied," along with "Put rice pad in the microwave and heat up, then see who can sit on burning hot rice pad the longest".
What? No makeovers?
