vacation this and that
- First boogey-boarder of the week! Crazed mutant alien seaweed. We brought fun guests. "When oh when is that wave gonna pick me up for a surf?"
We had a great week.
The coldest week we've ever spent on the beach. (but nothing like the Arctic conditions at home, so I hear.)
It rained/poured/monsooned solid, all day Monday, but the rest of the week was dry-ish.
There was a running contest to see who could collect the neatest and the most sea shells.
Grandma pulled ahead right at the end, with the biggest sea shell I've ever seen.
Although Grandpa may have won for the most collected shells.
Reb learns that the water is cold, but nonetheless fun, fun, fun.
Houdini, yet again discovers that unwatched waves will indeed knock you down and possibly drag you out to sea.
Brick took 2-4 baths every day to combat the cold sea water, we are now calling him "Merman."
LEGOLAND = fun.
Bargain shopping is fun too. (No one can bargain shop like my in-laws)
Hootis is sporting two new pairs of skinny jeans. Trust me when I tell you how cute she looks in them.
Lots of candy/junk food was consumed.
The Sunday night "Search and Rescue" was eventful. Stick is now referring to it as "Estrogen Attack 09". Rude.
The big kids experienced homelessness (for a short while) and gained a new found appreciation for shoes.
We DID NOT eat at In-N-Out in CA. Weird.
Too many drinks=multiple people watering the desert just before we got to Las Vegas.
Some of these people didn't even blink an eye at dropping their pants and baring it all, lined up like four firemen, putting out a fiery blaze on a cactus.
One person who will only resort to desert watering as a beyond desperate measure, laughed a lot, almost eliminating the need. Almost.
We knew the vacation was over when we got home and found a surprise in the guest bathroom. Yes, the same bathroom that was officially declared off limits, months ago.
I'm not done yet, tune in tomorrow.
