weekly 2015.4.20
Stick went into wake Bekah this morning and she was sound asleep, sitting up in her bed, talking a mile a minute.
Harry had a pretty epic recess basketball collision on Friday and scraped up the side of his face. Turns out that skidding your face along the blacktop isn’t that great of an idea. He was pretty swollen up the first day but now he’s just bruised and scabby, so I guess we call that progress!
Spencer scored a goal Saturday at his game and played really well. While chasing around with Aaron yesterday, he ran/jumped/fell down the stairs and hurt his big toe. I hope it’s not broken and I really hope the toenail doesn’t fall off. Yuck.
Thomas & Aaron had a lot of volleyball last week. We drove out to West Valley for games on Tuesday in horrible traffic and weather, only to find out we had gone to the wrong school due to a miscommunication. So then we drove to the other side of the valley to get to the right school in time for the last match. Then Thursday night, they had three matches and we ended up being there for almost 5 hours.
So we had many many hours of volleyball, combined with three kids playing soccer, and my book club on Wednesday, by the weekend I felt like a total zombie. I have limits on how much I can do and last week stretched me beyond the mark. Unfortunately, this week won’t be much better. I’m starting to long for summer and its schedule free days and nights.
The high school is starting to gear up for the end of the year and graduation. I had to laugh when I saw the list of the seniors who were “most likely to….” Under the category of “most likely to be President someday” were three boys. Two of which Rachel has been on a date with and the last one will be her Prom date this weekend. We’ve been telling her she’s “most likely to be the first lady.”
