San Francisco: Day 3 - 4

We got up Saturday and tried to find a restaurant where we'd eaten a delicious breakfast years ago on our honeymoon, but it was gone. So after eating somewhere else, we headed back into Tiburon. Part of our room deal included tickets on (another) ferry to cross the bay over to Angel Island and bike rentals.

A new look for me, the ever fashionable bike helmet.

Now it's commonly known that the weather in SF can be a little tricky. We really lucked out and had gorgeous sunny skies the entire time we were there. We could see the sights from every side of Angel Island.

Stick in front of SF.

Stick in front of the GG bridge.

Having never been to Angel Island, we didn't really know what a 5 mile bike ride around the island would entail.  Turns out it was a whole lot of riding up up up to get up to the top then more ups and downs around a trail.

Let's see.....when was the last time I went on a five mile up and down bike ride? Oh yeah, never. Stick was much better suited to the bike ride than me.  In fact I could hardly walk the next day. (For realz, it was awful.)

Goodbye, angel island!

Then we headed over to Oakland to see the temple we were married in. We got there too late to do a session (der) and we had to do some tricky maneuvers to even park the car due to some crazy Greek Festival being held across the street. But eventually, we figured things out and were able to get out and stroll the grounds where we spent one of our happiest days ever.

Then bright and early Sunday morning, we got back on a plane and made it back home in time to go to church.

A fantastic vacation, if there ever was one.
