sports

Although one person in particular has dominated our posts as of late, we do remember that we have other kids.... These two both started a new sport this week. Hootis started Volleyball and Rooney, Flag Football. While this is fun, it does add a bit of chaos to our lives. Hootis has practice on Tuesday nights, ending at 7pm. Rooney's Flag Football games start at 7pm, in a different part of town. So Hootis has to leave early and we rush across town to get to the game. Then on Thursday afternoons, Rooney had practice and Hootis has games on Saturdays. The rest of us, yes, that would be 6-7 people are there just to observe, whether we like it or not. The level of "liking it or not" is directly proportional to the amount of snacks I bring. I've learned over the years that food can make most unpleasant things more tolerable. Bring on the snacks!

Dear Mrs. Volleyball,

You are very darling. Your arms look like they will break on impact of a volleyball. Maybe you should pick a kinder sport ( I always thought volleyball would be the end of me). I recommend wearing pool foam noodles placed on each arm.

Think about it.
Just an idea,
Auntie.
