summer, at last!
School got out 12 days ago, but today felt like our first day of summer vacation.
You see, we've been running non-stop since before school let out.
Just to sum it up a little: Seminary graduation, last week of school busyness, high school graduation for Rachel, Thomas' Board of Review, big mixed (both sides) family party for Rachel & Aaron/Thomas for getting their eagles, hosting Sunday dinner for the Herrings, Eagle Court of Honor for the boys, family reunion in Big Cottonwood Canyon, soccer tournament for Spencer, teaching Relief Society, and hosting family from out of town until this morning.
Whew.
It's been thrilling and exhausting all at the same time.
Two weeks ago, I was looking at the calendar and wondering (worrying) if I would survive it all.
I'm happy to say that I did for the most part. (There may have been an attack of Parvovirus to keep me nice and humble right in the middle of it all, but I'm mostly on the mend.)
Today we puttered around, did a little laundry, cleaned up messes, did a little weeding/planting in the garden and tried to remember what our normal life feels like.
It should be a good summer.
