saved by a paper roll

The weather here has been miserable for days, meaning- the kids have been inside for days.  Yesterday afternoon, the mood inside our house was getting a little frantic.

~

To much inside play, and not enough time to burn energy.  The result being lots of running, jumping, teasing and general chaos. Chaos that gets louder by the minute, and makes me want to go hide in my closet, with earplugs and a large chocolate bar.  (It's a guarantee that these times will always coincide with the time I need to make dinner.)

~

Fortunately, just when I was about to loose my last shred of sanity, Proto discovered a large roll of paper in our laundry room.  He decided to do a drawing of a Lego.

The other boys followed suit.

Rooney worked some more on Einstein.

Brick did a drawing of his own true love, Mollie Moon.

(That's her name for real.)

Houdini did a little "Cars" themed art work.

Even Reb sat down in the middle of the kitchen floor and got busy.

Fortunately drawing and chaos don't go hand in hand, so I survived with my sanity intact.

Yay for me.

Yay for large rolls of paper.
