Summer Olympics.

Have I mentioned that I really love the Olympics? (The summer Olympics more than the winter.)

In fact we ordered our cable tv for the year a month early so I could watch "all olympics all the time"!

So far we've watched (parts of) fencing, table tennis, badminton, rowing, water polo, soccer, basketball, swimming, diving, gymnastics, judo, boxing, handball, field hockey, volleyball and cycling.

I love the awards ceremony, the race for the most gold medals, the parents of the athletes reveling in their child's performance, the agony of the parents while their children perform, the spirit of competition on an international level, the parade of nations at the opening ceremony. All of it.

And I'm making my children watch it too!

(They're just happy that the tv is on, I'm pretty sure they'd watch grass grow on tv if I let them).

I am totally with you -- absolutely in seventh heaven. My family doesn't know what to do with me during the olympics. I go from NEVER watching tv to the biggest couch potato EVER when they are on -- LOVE IT!! ST
