tulip time....better late than never
It's a commonly known fact among gardeners that you are supposed to plant tulip bulbs in Fall.
The month of October is ideal, but November will do in a pinch.
How about January?
January 6th, to be exact!
I just couldn't get the bulbs planted last Fall.
We were too busy being crazy.
So last week, the first week of January, when the weather was SO unusually warm, I figured why not?
The ground isn't frozen.
The bulbs sitting in my basement look ready to grow,
so I ordered asked the boys to dig holes for me and I dropped the bulbs in.
Just in time apparently, since the very next morning it looked like this:
Boo snow.
Yay tulip bulbs.
