chaos r us
Our street is currently under construction. While I will (someday) be happy with the finished results, I must say, the process is getting a little (LOT) annoying. I just walked outside into the front yard and I can see 8 large contruction/heavy machinery/tractor thingys. They are all going up and down the street and occasionally they go "BOOM" making our windows shake. They obviously don't appreciate our delicate 50 year old home. A few more BOOM's and the whole thing may just come down. Which, now that I think about it, wouldn't be that bad after all. They have big traffic barrels up and down the street causing the right lane to be the width of a Tonka truck. This wouldn't be a problem except that I do NOT drive a Tonka truck.
vs.
Just to add to the chaos/excitement, our neighbors have had a tree crew cutting down gigantic portions of their trees for two days now. Also about 3 blocks down, approximately 48 new gigantic business buildings are going up. In addition, just to add insult to injury, the spot where our street connects to State St., is closed due to construction, complete with a gigantic crane, so I have to drive approximately 396 miles out of my way to do my "carpool" duties. Have I said "gigantic" enough times to properly express the inhumanity of it all??????
Good. I feel better now.
****Exaggeration may or may not have been used in this post to fully express my misery.
In case you were wondering.****
