catch up - early December

Aaron was ordained a Deacon.

He gets to pass the sacrament now, among other duties.

We're very happy with his choices.

Travis and the kids hung Christmas lights just to make me happy!

It was a big job.

I used to do it in our other house, and I would just stand on a step stool and attach the lights.

Our current house, however requires BIG ladders and lots of climbing.

This is how engineers hang lights.

Precision. Accuracy. Measuring.

Just like my method at our old house....of putting a clip thingy every foot or so and drooping the lights all willy nilly.

Me and the engineer, we're so alike, it's scary.

Games were played.

Long, long games that take hours and hours.

Apparently this is fun?!?!

In fact, planted these paperwhite bulbs at the beginning of the Risk game and by the end of the game, they had totally bloomed!

In lieu of our traditional homemade gingerbread cookie fest, we bought a gingerbread house kit and decorated it.

Each kid got a piece and then we cemented frosted them together.

We also decorated snowman cookies.

Yay! December is fun!
