lobbying for a bob
When Auntie A was here last month she had a moment where she lost her mind and said to Bekah, "You should cut your hair into a bob like mine!"
(Remind me to give Auntie A a wedgie next time I see her.)
Let's remember what Bekah's hair would look like if it was that short.
Cute, but I think we are over the "Annie" look.
Lo and behold, Bekah was thrilled with the idea of a new hairdo.
So thrilled that she proceeded to nag me for days on end about her desired haircut.
(Ok, Auntie A, a double wedgie it is.)
I eventually gave in and told her that while she could NOT have a bob, I would give her a hair cut.
Truthfully in all her almost 7 years she has never had a haircut.
Two times I've done a teensy 1/4" trim, but nothing more than that.
So maybe, possibly, she was overdue and looking very Crystal Gayle-ish once we brushed it all out.
We had to brush it out 'cause it's nearly impossible to cut ringlets, (at least for my mediocre hair cutting skills).
We got out the scissors and I gave her her first ever haircut. She was pretty thrilled with the whole event.
I cut a bunch off, but it's still pretty long.
This picture makes me laugh because her hair doesn't even look straight.
And that, my friends, is the glory of curly hair, one drop of water and all your crooked cutting disappears into ringlets.
I will admit under duress that it looks a lot better.
I didn't realize how straggly the ends had become. With all those stringy ends off, her hair looks a lot more full and thick.
However, she is still lobbying for a bob.
Ahem, Auntie A.

Bravo! Looks good. I like short and long myself. I fight cutting mine daily. I like Bobs, A-lines, shoulders. This long hair is a pain. But a bun or pony makes it ok. I can't wait to see it all ringleted up.

Ha, hah! Sorry to be such a problem maker! I have, must cut all the Hair, tendencies, I'll admit.
