story time

Confession:

In my fifteen and one half years of parenting, I have never taken my children to "Story Time" at the Library.

Why?

I don't really know*.

We go to the library all the time, just never Story Time.

A couple of weeks ago, Rebekah's best buddy S invited her to go to Story Time.  When she came home, you would have thought she'd won the Lottery, gone to Disneyland and swam with mermaids in Tahiti. All at the same time! She told me all about it, complete with hand actions and songs.  Then she bragged about it to all the big kids when they got home from school.

So we went back the next week.

I pulled up to the library and the second I stopped the car, Rebekah unbuckled, opened the door and ran straight into the library.  By the time I could unbuckle and get out of the car and into the library she was long gone.  I found her in the Story Time room sitting on the rug all ready to go.

Excited much?

We have now made arrangements to go each week with S.

Good times, I tell you, good times.

*Probably because sometimes I am anti-social and don't want to leave the house.

We love story time. But I'm very hit and miss with taking the kids. Baby W got to go all the time. J hardly ever went, but since E's arrival we've been more. Who knows why.
