baby it's cold outside

Stick mentioned a couple of times yesterday that last year at this exact time,

we were in Oceanside.

This is what we were doing:

Notice the swimsuits and bare feet?

This is what we are doing today:

Notice the snow boots, snow pants, winter coats and gloves?

The misery started this morning, stopped for about 6 minutes, then it started again full force, and hasn't quit yet.

Where would you rather be?

What's really funny is when I think about the conversation I had as we were leaving Oceanside back in October. I was returning the house keys to the owner of the million dollar beach front rental home. She was asking "where in Utah" we lived and mentioned that they were probably going to come to Utah over Thanksgiving or Christmas. Because you know, one gets tired of all that year round sun, sand and surf. Cold, wet, slushy snow is much more appealing! I briefly considered making a "home swap" deal with her. We'll stay in her million dollar beach front home over Christmas and they can stay in our 50 year old farm house. We'll both be happy. Yeah, right.
