snow bums
This is the year we decided to finally embrace our environment.
We realized we travel eleven hours to play at the beach every single year and yet here, in our own backyard is "The World's Greatest Snow!"
And we've never once been skiing.
Never.
So we signed up the kids for Snow Blitz.
The three biggies get picked up at the middle school two blocks from our house and head up to Brighton for lessons and free skiing. Well, not "free" skiing, we paid plenty for this experience, just free time to ski on their own.
Glad we cleared that up.
And if that was not great enough, that same week our YM/YW went to Brighton for Mutual and they all (along with Stick) learned to snowboard.
They loved it all.
Loved.
Loved.
Loved.
Aaron, especially, can't quite talking about how great it was.
They're still debating which was more fun, the skiing or the snowboarding.
I guess they'll have to go again and decide once and for all!

Back when I first moved to Utah a kid at church asked me if I skied? I said no, but I knew how to Ice Skate. He laughed for a really long time.
...I didn't see what was so funny. I thought it was good for growing up in Cali.
Glad the kids are enjoying it. I don't think I would be coordinated enough.
