night night sleep tight

Sleeping under the stars is the best!

We did this as kids in our backyard.  I have fond memories of sleeping in the cool night air, under a star filled sky.  Technically the stars looked like blurry blobs of light to me, since I was about as blind back then as I am now, but you get the idea.

We let the kids try it out last night.

I lay in bed with a smile on my face as I listened (through our window) to them talk, laugh, sing and enjoy their time together.

Of course I also remember the maniacal laughter of my dad as he turned the sprinklers on us, as we lay unsuspecting in our cozy little sleeping bags.

(We didn't re-create that part of my memory.)

Were you worried they would roll over and down the window well? ha ha ha

What's the bucket for? Late night potty trips? :)

Love it! I remember this often. I also recall big Toads and Flo Flo walking across the plastic, making well...me nervous.

hm...I also recall trying to sleep with my glasses on, cause I was blind as a bat and loved watching the falling stars.

Yes...Dad did soak us, didn't he.
