da law
Frankly I'm a little annoyed by the new law requiring kids in UT to wear a booster seat until they are 8 (or 57" tall. Hootis isn't even that tall yet and she's 11). After years of FOUR car seats in our car, we only have had one for about the last six months. It's been very nice.
So we've been a little slow in complying, but finally last week we dug out a booster seat for Brick. He too, is not enjoying it. On the way to pick up Pizza last night we had the following conversation:
him- "Can I just sit in a regular seat?"
me- "No buddy, you need to get into your booster."
him- "Why?"
me-"Because the law changed, and now you have to use it."
him-"Who made the law?"
me- Opting for ignorance over a full blown confusing explanation, "I don't know"
him- "I know who made the law. Moses made the law!"
me- "nooo, it wasn't Moses."
him- "yep, it was. Moses made the law."
me- silently, "whatever."
